A Design Thinking Approach to Student Success
On Point Education Advisory is a boutique education consulting practice that provides personalized guidance to students and families as they explore higher education options and navigate the application process across Asia, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Our work begins with understanding the student – their interests, strengths, academic goals, experiences, and the kind of environment in which they are most likely to thrive. We guide students through each stage of the process, from planning their high school journey and exploring possible academic pathways to building a personalized university list and preparing strong, authentic applications.
As the college admissions landscape continues to evolve, at On Point, we help students interpret what universities are looking for, understand how their experiences come together, and make choices that are right for them. Our role is to bring clarity and structure to this process while ensuring that each application reflects the student’s abilities.
Our mission is to match every student with a university where they will thrive and succeed. On Point Education Advisory does not work as a recruitment agent for universities or receive commissions for student placements. Our recommendations are independent and guided solely by what is in the best interest of each student.

Rachna Grewal is an independent education consultant and admissions advisor who guides students through applications to universities in India and overseas.
Her approach to counselling has been shaped by her experience as an educator at Vasant Valley School and by her background in psychology. She believes that to be an effective mentor, one needs to know the student – not only their grades and activities, but their interests, motivations, struggles, and what they hope to do next. Rachna encourages students to follow their curiosity, while guiding them towards choices that feel relevant to them.
Rachna engages personally with students across every stage of the process, from exploring academic interests and planning activities to researching universities, developing an application strategy, and the essay writing process. She also believes that mentoring teenagers requires her to keep learning. Every group of students brings a different way of looking at the world. Listening to them, understanding the environment they are growing up in, and remaining open to changing her own assumptions are important parts of how she works.
At the heart of Rachna’s philosophy is the belief that college counselling is not simply about securing an offer. It is about helping students understand themselves better, make informed choices, and find a university where they can grow and feel at home.

Priyal supports the work that happens behind the scenes at On Point Education Advisory, managing day-to-day operations, researching admissions requirements, and emerging trends across different geographies. She integrates AI tools to improve internal processes and develops resources that support students and families throughout the college application journey.
Priyal is responsible for managing the organization’s external communications, helping shape how On Point Education Advisory engages with students, parents, educators, and other stakeholders.
For Priyal, the application experience is as important as the final outcome. She believes that every family deserves guidance that is thoughtful, personal, and responsive to their individual needs. By building strong systems and continually refining the processes that support students and families, she strives to make every interaction with On Point Education Advisory seamless and personalized.
