Cambridge Centre for International Research

About Us

The Cambridge Centre for International Research (CCIR) was founded by a group of Cambridge graduates committed to making academic research more accessible to the public. Working with leading academics, as well as early-career researchers, we seek to expand the reach and impact of ideas that matter. Meanwhile, every year, we work with talented high school students to cultivate their academic passions and develop their research interests and skills.

CCIR Think Tank Highlights

In the 2020 Winter edition of our Ideas and Innovation podcast, we invited Professor Luciano Floridi (Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford and Director of the Oxford Internet Institute’s Digital Ethics Lab) to discuss the role of philosophy in the current information-technological revolution.

CCIR Fellowship SPOTLIGHT

Ronja Griep is a Gates Scholar and a current Ph.D. candidate at the University of Cambridge working in feminist political philosophy.

For her CCIR fellowship, she will be leading an interview series on 21st Century Body Politics, where she will discuss the politics of bodily beauty and wellness with leading academics in philosophy, the social sciences, and beyond.

The CCIR ACADEMY

CCIR Academy is a highly-selective online research programme designed and taught by Oxbridge faculty members for gifted high school students around the world. The mission of CCIR Academy is to provide talented and intellectually curious high school students with the opportunity to conduct high-level academic research under expert mentorship.

At CCIR Academy, students can pursue their academic interests and realize their intellectual potential through our expertly designed academic experiences. By collaborating intimately with faculty from Cambridge and Oxford, our students produce cutting-edge independent research on a wide range of topics.
